How Does CoolSculpting Work?

Plastic Surgeon Scottsdale

CoolSculpting has become one of the most popular cosmetic enhancements available at med spas. It’s a noninvasive way of contouring the body to resolve stubborn areas of fat, such as the love handles. There are no needles required and no downtime to deal with. This safe, FDA-approved med spa treatment works by harnessing the power of temperature to destroy fat cells without damaging the healthy tissues surrounding the fat cells.

The technology is based on Cryolipolysis, which is the scientific concept that controlled cooling can eliminate fat cells within a targeted area. The results aren’t immediate because it takes time for the body to remove the destroyed fat cells. Most patients begin to see results in about three weeks, with continued results for four to six months.

A CoolSculpting procedure in Scottsdale is just one of the many med spa services you’ll find at Oasis Plastic Surgery. Call (480) 264-6428 to schedule your consultation or visit us online to read more about cosmetic enhancements.
